City of Hope is seeking a skilled and compassionate Clinical Nurse to join an exceptional team in the Endoscopy Department. You will provide nursing care and support during a wide range of endoscopic procedures, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and quality care. This full‑time position offers 8‑ or 10‑hour shifts, variable scheduling, and a unit differential up to $5.20/hr.
Up to $20,000 Sign‑On Bonus Available
Responsibilities- Provide expert nursing care and support during endoscopic procedures such as ERCP, bronchoscopies, colonoscopies, cystoscopies, laparoscopies, laryngoscopies, mediastinoscopies, thoracoscopies, and upper endoscopy.
- Advocate for patient well‑being by ensuring safety, comfort, and understanding of the procedures, monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and providing emotional support.
- Collaborate with physicians, anesthesiologists, and technologists to ensure seamless patient care.
- Implement and adhere to strict infection control protocols.
- Maintain accurate and complete medical records documenting patient condition, medications, and complications.
- Stay current on the latest advancements in endoscopy and nursing practices, and educate patients and families regarding pre‑operative and post‑operative care.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing required; ADN must obtain BSN within three years of hire.
- Current California RN license.
- Minimum of three (3) years of related RN experience.
- Requirement of 1‑year perioperative experience or completion of a formal perioperative nursing specialty course within 6 months of hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR Card through the American Heart Association.
- ACLS certification through the American Heart Association.
- PALS certification through the American Heart Association.
