Accounting Manager

Overview

We are hiring a hands-on Accounting Manager to take full ownership of IFRS financial reporting for a growing subscription-based and DTC e-commerce business. This role is highly technical and execution-focused, suited to someone who takes pride in accuracy, controls, and audit-ready reporting.

This is not a coordination or people-heavy role — you will be directly responsible for the correctness of the numbers, working closely with an external Europeanbookkeeper and managing the relationship with auditors.

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process
• Prepare and deliver IFRS-compliant financial statements
• Take full ownership of IFRS 15 (subscription revenue, deferred income, contract liabilities)
• Lead and manage external audits, acting as the main point of contact
• Supervise and review Italian bookkeeping, reconciling local accounts to group IFRS standards
• Own VAT filings and compliance in the UAE, with oversight of european standards
• Maintain strong documentation, controls, and balance-sheet integrity

• 8–10 years’ experience in accounting or financial reporting
• Proven hands-on experience with IFRS financial reporting
• Strong IFRS 15 experience within a subscription, SaaS, digital, or e-commerce business
• Experience managing external auditors and bookkeepers
• Excellent balance-sheet control and reconciliation skills
• Fluent in English (Italian language skills preferred but not essential)
• Detail-oriented, structured, and comfortable taking full ownership
