Junior Accountant – Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and day-to-day accounting entries
• Record invoices, expenses, payments, and receipts in the accounting system
• Support Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) activities
• Prepare and issue sales invoices and follow up on payments
• Reconcile bank statements, supplier accounts, and customer balances
• Assist in monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closing
• Maintain proper filing of accounting documents and records
• Assist with VAT records, documentation, and basic VAT returns (UAE)
• Support senior accountants and finance manager with reports and audits
• Ensure compliance with company policies and UAE accounting regulations
• Handle petty cash and expense reimbursements
• Coordinate with suppliers, customers, and internal departments when required

• Basic knowledge of UAE VAT (5%)
• Experience with accounting software (Tally, Quick Books, SAP, Zoho, etc.)
• Understanding of UAE labor and basic financial regulations
