You’ll Be Doing
As an Accountant, you will be responsible for financial reporting, month‑end close, and analytical review, with a clear shift from transactional bookkeeping to value‑added financial analysis. The role requires strong cross‑functional interaction and ownership of account quality. This role is ideal for an Accountant who enjoys owning numbers end‑to‑end, engaging with stakeholders, and moving closer to analysis and decision support, while still maintaining strong reporting discipline.
YourResponsibilities Will Include
- Own month‑end closing activities for assigned entities.
- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies.
- Perform P&L variance analysis, investigate movements, and provide clear explanations.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS standards, including IFRS 16.
- Support audit processes and liaise with internal/external auditors as needed.
- Prepare reporting decks and financial summaries using Excel and PowerPoint.
- Work closely with Shared Services, Commercial, and Finance teams to resolve open items and drive closure.
- Contribute to the transition from bookkeeping‑focused work to analysis‑driven finance support.
- Act as a custodian of accounts, ensuring data integrity and accountability.
- A minimum of 1 to 2 years of accounting experience.
- ACCA certified or possessing another related certification.
- Experience in a retail or high‑volume environment.
- Audit background, preferably with Big‑4 experience.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Proactive and analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and explain financial data.
- Experience in SAP system.
