Accounting & Finance Duties

  • Maintain day-to-day accounts (receipts, payments, journal entries).
  • Prepare and issue customer invoices for transport, freight, and related services.
  • Record supplier invoices (fuel, maintenance, drivers, transporters, etc.).
  • Monitor accounts receivable & payable and follow up on outstanding payments.
  • Handle cash flow tracking and maintain petty cash.
  • Perform bank reconciliation regularly.
  • Assist in monthly financial reporting (P&L, expenses, revenue tracking).
  • Coordinate with external auditor / tax consultant.
  • Ensure proper filing of VAT records and returns (if applicable).
  • Maintain cost records per trip, vehicle, or shipment for profitability tracking.
Logistics & Operations Support
  • Prepare and maintain transport documentation:
    • Delivery orders
    • Invoices
    • Trip sheets
    • LPOs (Local Purchase Orders)
  • Record trip expenses (fuel, toll, border charges, waiting charges).
  • Maintain vehicle-related records:
    • Registration
    • Insurance
    • Maintenance logs
    • Permits
  • Support operations team with billing data and job costing.
Administrative Duties
  • Manage office administration and documentation.
  • Maintain employee records (drivers & staff).
  • Assist in processing:
    • Salaries
    • Advances
    • Expense claims
  • Coordinate with:
    • Banks
    • Government departments
    • Insurance companies
    • Vendors
  • Maintain proper filing (physical & digital).
  • Handle basic HR admin (leave records, attendance, document collection).
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Commerce / Finance.
  • 2–5 years’ experience in accounting, preferably in logistics or transport.
  • Knowledge of:
    • Invoicing & receivables
    • VAT basics
    • Expense tracking
  • Familiar with accounting software (Tally, Quick Books, Zoho, or similar).
  • Good command of MS Excel.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Honest, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
