Junior Accountant

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support the finance team in day-to-day accounting operations. The successful candidate will assist with bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and will gain exposure to the full accounting lifecycle.

• Maintain financial records: post day-to-day entries (invoices, receipts, journals) into the accounting system.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable: process vendor invoices, match purchase orders/GRNs, send customer invoices, monitor aging.
• Perform bank and credit-card reconciliations on a regular basis; support cash flow tracking and petty-cash management.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes: prepare supporting schedules, reconcile sub-ledgers to general ledger.
• Support VAT filings, ensure compliance with UAE tax and regulatory requirements, maintain proper documentation.
• Collaborate with the finance team to prepare management reports and dashboards, providing basic analysis of variances and trends.
• Ensure accurate fixed-asset register maintenance: record additions, disposals, depreciations as directed.
• Assist in internal and external audit preparations: gather supporting documentation, respond to queries, maintain organised records.
• Support other ad-hoc accounting tasks or projects as assigned by the Finance Manager.

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Prior 1-3 years of accounting experience (entry-level to junior). Experience in the UAE/GCC region is an advantage.
• Familiarity with accounting software and MS Office (especially Excel) is required.
• Basic understanding of bookkeeping, general ledger, P&L, balance sheet and reconciliation concepts.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy and ability to meet deadlines.
• Good communication skills in English;
  Arabic language skills would be beneficial.
