Senior Accountant

We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant with a strong background in the construction industry.

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Monitor project accounting activities, including project costs, revenue recognition, variations, and subcontractor payments.
• Review and reconcile project budgets, expenses, and cost allocations.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, VAT regulations, and company financial policies.
• Coordinate with auditors, banks, consultants, and government authorities as required.
• Prepare cash flow forecasts, budgeting reports, and financial analysis for management.
• Monitor payroll accounting, supplier payments, and contract-related financial transactions.
• Support internal and external audit activities and ensure proper documentation.
• Maintain fixed asset registers and oversee depreciation schedules.
• Assist management with financial planning, risk assessment, and process improvements.
• Supervise junior accounting staff and ensure timely completion of accounting tasks.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Professional certification such as CA, ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent (mandatory/preferred).
• Minimum 10 years of accounting experience, preferably within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of project accounting, construction costing, and financial reporting.
• Good understanding of UAE VAT and financial regulations.
• Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems and MS Excel.
• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
• UAE/GCC experience preferred.
