Accountant, Financial Reporting, Accounting Manager

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage financial transactions, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and support overall financial operations.

The ideal candidate will have experience in trading, marine, or supply chain‑related businesses and possess strong analytical and organizational skills.

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports
• Handle daily accounting operations including journal entries, ledgers and reconciliations
• Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)
• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow
• Manage payments, collections and vendor accounts
• Ensure timely invoicing and follow up on receivables
• Prepare VAT returns and ensure compliance with UAE tax regulations
• Assist in monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing
• Support internal and external audits
• Monitor inventory transactions and costing
• Coordinate with operations for stock reconciliation
• Track expenses and identify cost‑saving opportunities
• Maintain proper documentation of financial transactions
• Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders
• Support management with financial analysis and reporting

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2–5 years of accounting experience (UAE experience preferred)
• Experience in trading, shipping, or marine industry is an advantage
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Familiarity with VAT regulations in the UAE
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Good communication skills
