Position SummaryThe Junior Accountant will play a pivotal role in our Dubai office, providing expert accounting and taxation services to our French-speaking clientele. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in UAE taxation and a proven track record of delivering high-quality financial reporting.
Responsibilities- Prepare and review financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Manage the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
- Handle all aspects of UAE and European taxation, including tax returns, compliance, and advisory services.
- Advise clients on tax planning strategies to minimize their tax liabilities.
- Assist with the preparation and submission of statutory financial reports.
- Reconcile bank accounts and prepare monthly bank statements.
- Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and regulations.
- Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide comprehensive financial support.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- French language proficiency (written and spoken) is essential
- Substantial experience in French taxation, preferably in a fiduciary or accounting firm
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, Xero)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
