Overview of the Role:

The Product & Pricing Executive will work closely with the Senior Manager and General Manager for Product and Pricing to develop strategies for BYD and Polestar vehicles. The role involves conducting market/segment analyses and competitor evaluations to support informed decision‑making. The executive will focus on optimizing product positioning and ensuring profitability by delivering data‑driven insights. Tasks include collaborating with sales and marketing teams, developing product launches, and maintaining adherence to Principal standards.

Success is measured through timely delivery of product plans, accurate market projections, stakeholder engagement and successful product introductions.

Product Lifecycle Management
  • Develop and support complete product & pricing proposals for all existing and new BYD and Polestar models, including market/segment analysis, competitive basket creation, equalization, trim strategy, price walks and 3-5 year volume proposals.
  • Support marketing team and L&D Manager in developing USPs, showroom spec sheets, marketing materials, and website content for all models.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to define product positioning and competitive advantages.
  • Ensure timely delivery of product plans and conduct segment market share growth analysis.
  • Gather and analyse monthly data for market and segment performance projections.
Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Work with Brand General Managers to determine ideal Product Offer and Positioning for each Carline and Series.
  • Provide regular and relevant information about the car industry to senior management and cross‑functional teams.
  • Collaborate closely with OEM/regional offices and brand marketing managers in development of material for new and existing models.
  • Ensure timely provision of feature/benefit information for marketing collateral.
  • Ensure accurate product data in all published materials.
Pricing
  • Conduct in‑depth pricing and product analyses to determine pricing strategies and assist in setting list prices and price policies.
  • Produce Positioning Analysis (Equalization/Visual and Value Adjusted Pricing) analysis for each carline.
  • Generate monthly reports on product and price mix for internal and principal reporting while monitoring market conditions, positions and trends.
  • Contribute to budget building to support Financial Controller.
  • Conduct regular price, specification and positioning reviews.
Drive Principal Standards
  • Stay updated with competitive brands and their product launches by monitoring press, websites and principal inputs.
  • Conduct and analyse market studies to identify opportunities for innovation.
Product Launches
  • Conduct product launch meetings to ensure successful launch of new products.
  • Anticipate market evolutions and customer expectations, analysing industry products and pricing compared to BYD and Polestar models.
  • Communicate new model introductions, facelifts and product changes within the corporate office and facility wide.
  • Provide ongoing sales support material to sales teams with the Product and Price Manager.
  • Improve management of aged stock through effective product launch strategies.
