We are looking for a contractor for 12 months to enhance our strategic advisory capabilities specifically focused on banking clients. In this role you will be expected to:

• Conduct banking industry analysis and research to identify market trends, customer needs, and industry developments. Majority of analysis focused on the Middle East; ability to connect to global trends is a plus.
• Maintain various benchmarks of banking clients, sourced from media, brokers, client disclosures and relevant Deloitte client work.
• Elevate analyses and benchmarks into strategic insights and present as part of executive discussion decks.
• Present insights to select clients as part of client meetings and follow up on queries.

• Ideal candidate is an ex-consultant (Manager, Senior Manager level) with a strategy background who is looking to move away from sales and delivery KPIs and is open to working within enabling functions. The candidate will be measured on the ability to do targeted research and turning data into relevant insights.
• Experience with Middle East banks or based in the Middle East.
• As this is a contractor role, the candidate must have the ability to self-sponsor (e.g., in Dubai it is only possible for Dependent/Golden visa holders).
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree.
• 8+ years of banking knowledge and experience with deep understanding of the industry and broader financial services sector.
• Ability to turn research into strategic insights and confidence to present to clients directly.
• Passionate about research and analysis with experience in extracting insights and developing industry analysis briefings for senior leaders.
• Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills.
• The candidate will be expected to prepare visually impactful discussion decks in PowerPoint and maintain benchmarking models in Excel using macros, pivots, charts, and functions.
• Keen attention to detail; excellent communication and ability to interact with multiple senior stakeholders;
  English fluency required (Arabic preferred).
