Amazon has exciting opportunities for leaders in Operations Management within our rapidly expanding Sub Same Day (SSD) network in Japan. Our dynamic environment offers candidates significant challenges in front‑line management and driving scalable, continuous improvements across our fulfillment centers, supply chain, and last‑mile delivery teams.
Key Job Responsibilities- Evaluate performance objectives and metrics across the network to proactively identify process improvement opportunities and largest gaps to benchmark performance supporting prioritization efforts for improvement opportunities.
- Work backwards to develop clear roadmaps/milestones of how your network will exceed cost commitments across material process paths.
- Audit, teach, and drive execution to the benchmark standards while acting as a catalyst for continuous improvement and project deployment in the network.
- Partner with regional leaders to execute implementation of Standard Operating Procedures and process improvements driving stabilization and standardization across the network.
- Execute, measure and support communication of project impacts in partnership with the site leaders responsible for day to day operations.
- Think big and have the front‑line operational skills to identify and implement solutions that scale.
- Coaching leaders and ensuring all process stakeholders are up to speed with system related changes.
- Objectively analyze complex situations and execute on immediate and time‑bound action items.
- Motivate and influence individuals of all levels to deliver results on complex objectives.

- 8‑hour a day / Standard hours: 9 AM - 6 PM (flexible based on business needs)

Qualifications- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Supply Chain, Economics or Business Administration
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
- Experience working cross-functionally with tech and non-tech teams, including operations
- Speak, write, and read fluently in Japanese
- Intermediate level written and oral communication skills in English
- Speak, write, and read fluently in English
- Experience of Six Sigma/ Lean analytical techniques
