Job Purpose
Responsible for estimating, cost control, and quantity surveying of CCTV, networking, and structured cabling systems in commercial, industrial, and residential projects. Ensures accurate cost estimation, material take-offs, BOQs, and supports project execution through monitoring, measurement, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities Estimation- Review tender documents, project drawings, specifications, and SLDs for CCTV & networking systems.
- Prepare detailed material take-offs for:
- IP & analog CCTV cameras, NVR/DVR, storage, video wall equipment.
- Networking equipment: switches, routers, servers, access points.
- Structured cabling: UTP cables, fiber optic backbone, patch panels, outlets, racks.
- Cable containment: trays, conduits, trunking, accessories.
- Collect and compare vendor quotations to determine realistic material costs.
- Prepare cost estimates
, including materials, labor, installation, testing & commissioning, and contingencies. - Suggest value engineering options for cost optimization without compromising standards.
- Assist in tender submissions and technical-commercial clarifications.
- Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for CCTV & networking systems.
- Monitor and control project costs against budget.
- Assist in monthly progress billing (IPC) and documentation for payment approvals.
- Measure executed quantities and maintain records for variation orders and change requests
. - Prepare final account reports based on as-built drawings.
- Coordinate with project teams, vendors, and site engineers for accurate measurements and cost tracking.
Bachelor’s degree / Diploma i or equivalent.
Minimum 2–5 years of experience in ELV, CCTV, networking, or structured cabling estimation & QS.
SkillsStrong understanding of CCTV systems
Knowledge of structured cabling standards
