Junior - Mid level Procurement Executive – Fit out or Civil Construction Role Summary

The Procurement Executive is responsible for the end-to-end procurement of joinery works, furniture, tiles, marble, interior finishes, and subcontracted trades for civil construction and turnkey fit-out projects.

The role focuses on cost efficiency, quality compliance, supplier coordination, and timely delivery in line with project schedules and budgets.

• Source and procure custom joinery, loose furniture, and fixed furniture
  .
• Obtain and analyze quotations based on BOQs, drawings, and specifications.
• Coordinate with design and site teams for material approvals.
• Issue purchase orders for:
• Joinery materials
• Veneers, laminates, hardware, and fittings
• Furniture and fixtures
• Ensure compliance with project finishes, samples, and quality standards.

• Source and procure:
• Tiles and natural stone
• Marble, granite, and engineered stone
• Sanitary ware and accessories
• Paints, wall finishes, and decorative materials
• Review technical specifications, samples, and mock-ups.
• Coordinate with consultants and site teams for approvals.
• Ensure materials meet project quality, aesthetic, and durability requirements.

• Source, prequalify, and negotiate with subcontractors for:
• Joinery manufacturing and installation
• Marble and tile installation
• Interior finishing trades
• Issue RFQs and analyze commercial and technical offers.
• Assist in subcontract negotiations and scope finalization.
• Monitor subcontractor performance, progress, and compliance.
• Coordinate payment certifications and variations with QS and finance teams.

• Work closely with project managers, designers, QS, and site engineers.
• Align procurement schedules with project timelines.
• Track material deliveries and subcontractor mobilization.
• Resolve delays, shortages, or quality issues.

• Ensure procurement stays within approved budgets.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, including:
• Purchase orders
• Subcontract agreements
• Quotations and comparisons
• Delivery notes and invoices
• Support QS and finance teams in cost tracking and reporting.

• Handle international sourcing of furniture, marble, tiles, and finishing materials.
• Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs agents.
• Manage import documentation, duties, and clearance.
• Ensure timely delivery of imported materials to site.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Construction Management, Supply Chain, or related field.

• 2–5 years procurement experience in:
• Interior fit-out
• Joinery
• Finishing materials
• Turnkey construction projects
• UAE or GCC experience preferred.

• Strong understanding of:
• Joinery materials (MDF, plywood, veneer, laminates, hardware, etc.)
• Furniture specifications
• Tiles, marble, and stone materials
• Interior finishing products
• Ability to read:
• Shop drawings
• Joinery and finishing details
• BOQs and specifications

• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
• Subcontractor coordination experience
• Cost-conscious and detail-oriented
• Strong communication and follow-up skills
• Proficient in MS Excel and procurement/ERP systems

• Experience in hotel, luxury residential, or high-end fit-out projects
• Knowledge of UAE joinery workshops, marble suppliers, and tile vendors
• Experience with overseas sourcing and imports
