Responsibilities
Analyze tender documents including drawings, specifications, and BOQ to understand project scope and requirements.
Prepare accurate and competitive tender bids in line with project specifications.
Develop Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and coordinate all documentation required for tender submission.
Prepare and circulate contract review and tender comparison reports.
Review subcontractor and supplier quotations for compliance with tender specifications and drawings, preparing comparative statements and summary reports.
Liaise with consultants and relevant authorities to seek clarifications and resolve discrepancies during the tender stage.
Conduct detailed risk assessments, identifying potential commercial and technical risks and proposing mitigation strategies to safeguard project profitability.
Manage pre-contract cost planning activities and provide value engineering recommendations to optimize design within budget constraints.
Ensure timely and complete submission of final tender documents in accordance with client requirements.
Prepare comprehensive tender submissions aimed at maximizing project win rates.
QualificationsPossess a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
Hold professional qualifications such as MRICS or equivalent is highly preferred.
Minimum 5 to 7 years of pre-contract quantity surveying experience within the construction industry, with a focus on commercial projects.
Demonstrate a strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and associated costs.
