Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Assistant MEP Quantity Surveyor to join our growing consultancy team in Dubai. The successful candidate will support the commercial management of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing works across a range of building and infrastructure projects, ensuring cost efficiency and contractual compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, budgets and tender documentation for MEP systems.
  • Support the measurement and valuation of MEP works in accordance with standard methods.
  • Review and analyze contract documents, drawings and specifications.
  • Assist in the evaluation of contractor variations, claims and interim payment applications.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress and verify quantities.
  • Prepare cost reports and financial forecasts for ongoing projects.
  • Coordinate with project teams, contractors and clients to ensure effective cost control.
  • Support senior QS staff in final account settlement.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE construction standards and contractual obligations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in MEP quantity surveying, preferably within a consultancy environment.
  • Strong understanding of MEP systems and installation processes.
  • Familiarity with standard forms of contract (e.g., FIDIC).
  • Proficiency in Excel and quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, Cubicost, or similar).
  • Good analytical, numerical and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working on projects in the UAE or GCC region.
  • Membership or progress toward professional accreditation (e.g., RICS or equivalent) – preferred but not essential.
  • Knowledge of local authority regulations and cost benchmarks in Dubai.
