Civil​/Fit-Out Engineer

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all civil and interior fit‑out activities on site.
• Ensure works are executed according to approved drawings, project specifications, method statements, quality standards, and project schedules.
• Manage and supervise blockwork, concrete work, plastering, tiling, painting, ceiling work, partition work, flooring work, joinery installation, and finishing works.
• Review and coordinate shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and as‑built drawings.
• Coordinate with project managers, consultants, architects, the MEP team, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Monitor site progress and prepare daily and weekly progress reports.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure quality of workmanship and compliance with project specifications.
• Ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality regulations, consultant requirements, health and safety standards, and company procedures.
• Verify site measurements and quantities before execution and material ordering.
• Coordinate civil and fit‑out works with MEP services to avoid conflicts and delays.
• Prepare and submit RFIs, inspection requests, material requests, and site reports.
• Monitor subcontractor performance, manpower, materials, and productivity on site.
• Assist the procurement team in technical evaluations and material approvals.
• Identify technical issues and provide practical site solutions.
• Attend project meetings and coordinate with all stakeholders regarding project progress and technical matters.
• Ensure snagging items and corrective works are completed properly and on time.
• Support testing, inspections, and project handover activities.
• Maintain proper project documentation and records.

• Strong knowledge of civil construction work, interior fit‑out work, finishing materials and installation methods, construction sequencing and coordination.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, structural drawings, shop drawings, and MEP coordination drawings.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office.
• Good communication, coordination, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple site activities.
• Knowledge of Dubai construction standards and authority regulations preferred.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 4 to 6 years of UAE experience in construction and interior fit‑out projects.
• Experience in commercial, residential, hospitality, or retail fit‑out projects preferred.
• UAE Driving License is an advantage.
