Junior Estimation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing accurate cost estimates and BOQs for interior fit‑out and joinery projects.
• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Perform quantity take‑offs from drawings and project documents.
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations and pricing.
• Prepare cost comparison sheets and maintain updated pricing databases.
• Support the Estimation Manager / Senior Estimator in tender submissions and bid preparations.
• Analyze project scope and identify potential cost‑saving opportunities.
• Assist in preparing material quantities, labor costs, and project budgets.
• Coordinate with procurement, design, and project teams for technical clarifications.
• Maintain estimation records, tender logs, and project cost data.
• Ensure all estimates are completed within submission deadlines.
• Support post‑tender negotiations and project handover to the execution team.

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in estimation, quantity surveying, or cost control within the interior fit‑out, joinery, or construction industry.
• Fresh graduates with relevant internships or fit‑out project exposure may also be considered.
• Knowledge of quantity take‑offs, BOQ preparation, and cost estimation principles.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, interior, and construction drawings.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with interior fit‑out materials, finishes, and construction methods is preferred.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Good communication and coordination abilities.
• Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and time‑management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tender submission deadlines.
• UAE experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Immediate joiners or candidates with short notice periods will be preferred.
