Estimator – Interior Fit

Responsibilities

• Review project drawings, specifications, and tender documents to understand scope and requirements
• Prepare detailed BOQ (Bill of Quantities) for civil works, joinery, gypsum, flooring, ceiling, MEP, and finishes
• Analyze project costs including materials, labour, subcontractor quotations, equipment, and overheads
• Perform quantity take‑offs using software or manual methods
• Develop accurate cost estimates for tender submissions, budgetary proposals, and change orders
• Update cost databases, pricing lists, and historical data for future projects
• Evaluate offers based on technical compliance and price competitiveness
• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure best pricing and reliable deliveries
• Prepare tender clarifications, technical queries, and price breakdown sheets
• Format and submit complete tender packages within deadlines
• Provide cost analysis, value‑engineering options, and budget guidelines for project execution
• Prepare regular estimation and tender status reports
• Assist in monitoring project costs against estimates

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Quantity Surveying, or related field
• 3–7 years of experience in estimation within the interior fit‑out industry (depending on level)
• Strong knowledge of joinery, interior finishes, MEP basics, materials, and market pricing
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Excel, and estimation/take‑off software (e.g., Planswift, Bluebeam)
• Excellent numerical and analytical abilities
• Strong understanding of construction methods and interior fit‑out processes
• Effective communication and negotiation skills with suppliers and subcontractors
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills
