General Manager - Operations

Responsibilities

• Assist higher management in the overall execution and delivery of construction projects
• Prepare and review project plans, schedules and specifications
• Provide input on design improvements, cost‑saving measures and construction challenges
• Monitor project budgeting in coordination with estimators and prepare the general conditions budgets
• Set up site offices and manage equipment and resource requirements
• Coordinate with clients, consultants and internal teams while leading construction activities
• Expedite drawings, approvals and regulatory requirements
• Monitor construction progress and update schedules every week
• Identify and communicate design discrepancies or issues to stakeholders
• Lead site meetings and resolve project‑related concerns with all related stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and regulatory standards
• Track inspections, testing and approvals from authorities
• Control and monitor labour, material and equipment costs
• Prepare monthly progress reports, billing and invoicing
• Ensure preparation of as‑built drawings and manage project close‑out documentation
• Deliver projects within defined quality, cost and timeline objectives

• Degree – Any Engineering Degree or higher qualification
• Minimum 15+ years of project execution experience with at least 7+ years in a managerial role
• Proven experience in high‑rise towers, large‑scale developments, residential villas and full project lifecycle delivery
• Strong knowledge of Dubai Municipality regulations and international construction standards
• Proficiency in construction and project management software
• Strong leadership, team building and conflict management skills
• Excellent planning, negotiation and communication abilities
