Middlesex University Dubai is seeking a highly creative and versatile Graphic Designer & Content Creator with strong photography and videography skills to support the university’s marketing, branding, and communications efforts. This role plays a key part in visually telling the university’s story through high-quality design, photography, video, and digital content across multiple platforms.

The successful candidate will be responsible for capturing and producing compelling visual and multimedia content that reflects the university’s identity, engages key audiences, and supports recruitment, brand awareness, and community engagement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities Graphic Design
  • Design and produce creative assets for digital and print platforms, including:
    • Brochures, prospectuses, flyers, posters, and banners
    • Social media graphics and digital advertisements
    • Event branding and promotional materials
  • Ensure all creative outputs align with Middlesex University Dubai brand guidelines.
  • Prepare artwork for print and digital distribution, ensuring high‑quality and accuracy.
Content Creation
  • Create engaging content for the university’s website, email campaigns, and social media platforms (Instagram, Linked In, Facebook, Tik Tok, You Tube).
  • Write and edit clear, engaging copy to accompany visual and video content.
  • Support campaign planning through creative concepts, content calendars, and storytelling ideas.
  • Photography
    • Plan and execute professional photography for:
      • Campus life and facilities
      • Academic and corporate events
      • Student activities and graduations
      • Staff portraits and promotional shoots
    • Edit and retouch images to a high standard while maintaining brand consistency.
    • Manage and maintain an organized digital image library.
    • Ensure photography adheres to brand, quality, and ethical standards, including consent requirements.
Videography
  • Conceptualise, shoot, and edit video content for marketing and communications purposes, including:
    • Promotional and recruitment videos
    • Social media reels and short‑form videos
    • Event highlights and interviews
    • Student testimonials and campus tours
  • Handle all stages of video production, including storyboarding, filming, editing, colour correction, and sound.
  • Optimise video content for different platforms and formats.
  • Maintain video equipment and ensure best practices in filming and post‑production.
Collaboration & Strategy
  • Work closely with marketing, admissions, academic departments, and student services to understand content needs.
  • Support integrated marketing campaigns and recruitment initiatives.
  • Stay up to date with trends in design, photography, videography, and digital marketing to continuously enhance creative output.
Qualifications & Experience Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Digital Media, Film, Photography, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–4 years of relevant experience in graphic design, content creation, photography, and videography.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating:
    • Graphic design work
    • Photography (events, lifestyle, portraits)
    • Video projects (short‑form and promotional)
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Lightroom).
  • Experience using cameras, lighting, audio equipment, and editing tools.
  • Strong understanding of social media content formats and digital best practices.
  • Excellent organisational and time‑management skills.
Preferred
  • Experience working in higher education, corporate communications, or agency environments.
  • Knowledge of motion graphics and animation.
  • Basic understanding of analytics, engagement metrics, and content performance.
