Join a documentary production team in Dubai as a sound engineer, responsible for capturing and mixing high‑quality audio on‑site during filming. The project will take place from May 21st to approximately May 23rd or 24th, focusing on recording live sound while filming with a Sony FX3. This role is strictly for professionals based in Dubai, as on‑site presence is required throughout the shoot.
The ideal candidate will ensure all audio meets industry standards and supports the overall production quality.
- Operate boom microphones and manage on‑site audio recording during documentary shoots
- Set up, monitor, and adjust audio equipment to capture clear, high‑fidelity sound
- Collaborate closely with the camera crew to synchronize audio with video footage
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to sound equipment during filming
- Mix and balance audio levels in real time to ensure optimal sound quality
- Maintain and organize all sound equipment before, during, and after each shoot day
- Proven experience as a sound engineer or boom mic operator in documentary or film production
- Proficiency with professional audio equipment, including boom mics, field recorders, and wireless systems
- Familiarity with the Sony FX3 camera workflow and on‑set audio integration
- Strong technical troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently in fast‑paced, on‑location environments
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Must be based in Dubai and available for on‑site work from May 21st to 23rd/24th
- Commitment to maintaining high audio standards throughout the production
