As a Cinema Experience Technician, your primary role is to guarantee customers enjoy the highest quality visual and auditory experience during movies and live events. This entails taking full responsibility for your actions and fostering effective teamwork within the team. Flexibility is essential, as you must be available to work both weekdays and weekends to meet the demands of our cinema schedule.
Job Responsibilities- Coordinate with the Programming and Technical teams on a weekly basis to plan film schedules.
- Conduct regular visits to assigned cinema locations to ensure the quality of picture and sound.
- Monitor the security, arrival, and dispatch of Digital Cinema Packages (DCPs) through physical and electronic distribution channels for all designated locations.
- Collaborate with the Network Operations Center (NOC) team to create playlists, including adverts and trailers, ensuring accurate cue placements, sound formats, and picture ratios.
- Conduct film presentations by operating film and digital projectors, as well as sound equipment, and other related devices in the projector suite.
- Adhere strictly to all cinema policies, including those related to customer care, health and safety, fire safety, and security.
- Maintain regular communication with field support engineers to address pending tasks concerning the digital projection system.
- Stay informed about the potential hazards associated with xenon lamps (both 35mm and digital) and Laser Projection systems.
- Minimum of 3 to 4 years of experience in projections or a related field.
- Experience in movie theater operations, food and beverage service, or hospitality is highly desirable.
- Basic IT knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office are required.
- Demonstrated interest in working with technical equipment and audiovisual setups.
- Experience with live sound reinforcement equipment, such as mixing consoles, compressors, graphic equalizers, and microphones for various events, is essential.
- Effective communication skills, both with colleagues and customers, are a must-have for this position.
