Position: Draftsman - Interior Design -  12 Months Contract

The job holder will be a skilled and detail-oriented Interior Design Draftsman
, responsible for preparing precise technical drawings, plans, and detailed designs based on specifications from interior designers and architects. The ideal candidate will collaborate with design teams to ensure the successful execution of interior projects, from concept through to completion, ensuring accuracy and adherence to design intent and project standards

KEY

ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Produce accurate, high-quality technical drawings, including layouts, elevations, sections, and detailed shop drawings using computer-aided design software, CAD & Revit.
  • Assist the design team in refining design details, ensuring that all plans reflect the project’s aesthetic and functional requirements
  • To assist in developing the design in the form of drawings or illustrations.
  • To support in the development of designs that are aesthetically pleasing by providing detailed drawings with all the required information.
  • To present draft/drawings for approval to the lead designer for finalization of the design drawings and sketches.
  • Develop both 2D and 3D models to support design concepts, ensuring they adhere to industry standards, building codes, and regulations
  • To ensure effective communication and reviewing all information for accurate drawings and documents.
  • To revise drawings and layouts to accommodate changes and enhancements.
  • To compile data for all assigned projects.
  • To archive, track and control revisions of design drawings, shop drawings and as-built drawings.
  • To ensure compliance to all EO policies, procedures, guidelines and quality standards.
  • To perform any related task as instructed by the line manager.
Self-Management Responsibilities
  • Agree on the performance goals at the beginning of the year in discussion with the reporting manager
  • Take personal initiative and strive to achieve high levels of proficiency on all the tasks to be performed as a part of the role
  • Actively seek inputs from superiors and peers, to identify opportunities for improving own performance and developing own capability
  • Identify the training and development requirements for self and agree on them with the reporting manager
  • FOR ALL JOBS:
    Perform other responsibilities and tasks as directed by the manager in order to meet department objectives.
Strategic /leadership Responsibilities
  • Participate and provide inputs in various control, governance and advisory committees, as applicable to the role
  • Define the operating framework, policies and quality standards for the department
  • Actively engage in the development of operational and business plans of reporting sections by providing requisite inputs and approvals.
  • Convey organizational strategy to the team, set departmental objectives and provide leadership direction to achieve goals
  • Formulate departments budget in conjunction with organizational budget, tracks expenses and ensure adherence to the assigned budgets
  • Take inputs from section heads to understand the workforce requirements and propose a workforce plan to the department lead.
Managerial Responsibilities
  • Participate and provide inputs in various control, governance and advisory committees, as applicable to the role
  • Convey organizational strategy to the team, set sectional objectives and provide leadership direction to achieve goals
  • Formulate section’s budget in conjunction with departmental budgets, track expenses and ensure adherence to the assigned budgets
  • Forecast workforce requirements for the section and propose the same to the department head
People Management Responsibilities
  • Define goals for team members and ensure objective periodic administration of the performance appraisal process, provides feedback on an on-going basis
  • Analyse people capability requirements and gaps from a business perspective and create systems and processes to enhance capability (e.g. a coaching program, job rotations etc.)
  • Retain and engage the talent employed and build a collaborative and high performance team
  • Define goals for team members and ensure objective periodic administration of the performance appraisal process, provides feedback on an on-going basis
