Job Summary
The Site-Based Landscape Architect is responsible for overseeing the implementation of landscape works on-site, ensuring that all construction activities are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project timelines. The role involves coordination with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and site teams to ensure successful delivery of landscape projects.
Key Responsibilities Site Supervision & Execution- Supervise day-to-day landscape construction activities on-site.
- Ensure landscape works are executed as per approved drawings, specifications, and project standards.
- Monitor hardscape, softscape, irrigation, and external works installation.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure workmanship quality and compliance.
- Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to resolve site issues.
- Review shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
- Ensure proper implementation of planting plans and irrigation systems.
- Liaise with project managers, consultants, architects, engineers, and clients.
- Attend site meetings and prepare progress updates.
- Coordinate with procurement teams regarding landscape materials and plant selection.
- Ensure all stakeholders are informed of progress, delays, and technical concerns.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, health & safety standards, and local regulations.
- Monitor quality control procedures for all landscape activities.
- Identify defects and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Maintain site documentation, inspection records, and reports.
- Track project progress against approved schedules.
- Assist in preparing work programs and recovery plans when required.
- Support project closeout activities including snagging and handover.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture, Architecture.
- Minimum 12+ years of experience in landscape architecture, landscape supervision, or consultancy services within the UAE.
- Strong experience in villa developments and high-end residential communities.
- Familiarity with crystal lagoons, swimmable lagoons, community parks, and public realm developments.
- Proven experience in large-scale landscape projects, mixed-use developments, and external works.
- GCC/UAE consultancy experience is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of hardscape, softscape, irrigation, and landscape construction methods.
- Ability to interpret landscape drawings and technical specifications.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Sketch Up, Revit, or other landscape-related software.
- Understanding of local authority regulations and site practices.
- Good knowledge of plant species suitable for regional climates.
