Part‑Time Lecturer in Working Drawings

School of Architecture and Interior Design

Canadian University Dubai (CUD) is seeking a Part‑Time Instructor in Working Drawings to join the School of Architecture and Interior Design. The successful candidate will be a graduate in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related design discipline, with a strong interest in design education and the ability to support students in developing essential technical drawing, construction documentation, and professional practice competencies.

Qualifications
  • Applicants must hold a Master’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related design discipline.
  • Candidates should demonstrate expertise in architectural and interior construction systems, technical drawing standards, and the preparation of construction documentation.
  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD is required, along with working knowledge of BIM based documentation platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach part‑time courses in construction documentation, technical drawing, and related areas within Architecture and Interior Design.
  • Prepare and deliver engaging learning activities that support student understanding of construction systems, technical standards, and documentation workflows.
  • Support students in developing practical proficiency in AutoCAD and familiarity with BIM based documentation platforms.
  • Provide timely feedback, assessment, and guidance to students in accordance with course learning outcomes.
  • Promote accuracy, clarity, and professional standards in student technical drawing and documentation work.
  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and professionally focused learning environment.
  • Maintain punctuality, effective communication, and reliability in all teaching related responsibilities.
  • Support the School of Architecture and Interior Design in delivering high quality design education aligned with current academic and professional standards.
