Responsibilities
- Provide expert diagnostic histopathology services, including the examination of tissue samples to diagnose diseases accurately.
- Lead and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss complex cases and provide expert pathological input for optimal patient care.
- Perform and interpret a wide range of specialized tests such as immunohistochemistry and molecular pathology to aid in diagnosis and prognosis.
- Oversee and ensure the quality and accuracy of laboratory procedures, including quality control and assurance programs.
- Collaborate with clinicians to provide comprehensive reports and consultations, ensuring effective communication of diagnostic findings.
- Contribute to research activities, including the development of new diagnostic techniques and the publication of research findings.
- Possess a medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and specialist qualification in histopathology.
- Hold certification from a recognized pathology board, demonstrating expertise and competence.
- Have extensive experience (5+ years) in histopathology, with a proven track record in diagnostic accuracy.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of various tissue processing techniques and staining procedures.
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, essential for collaboration with colleagues and patients.
