As a Specialist Anterior Segment Ophthalmologist, you will:

• Provide comprehensive specialist‑level care in Ophthalmology, with a focus on anterior segment diseases and surgery (cornea, lens, anterior chamber, iris)
• Diagnose and manage conditions such as cataracts, corneal disorders (keratoconus, dystrophies, infections), and anterior uveitis
• Perform vision testing, prescribe glasses/contact lenses, and conduct anterior segment surgeries (e.g., cataract extraction, corneal transplantation, pterygium excision, intraocular lens implantation)
• Manage outpatient and emergency eye clinics, including pre‑ and post‑operative care for anterior segment procedures
• Prescribe and administer medications, interpret diagnostic tests (e.g., corneal topography, anterior segment OCT), and maintain accurate medical records
• Counsel patients on treatment options, medications, and preventive eye care
• Participate in clinical audits, CME, and quality improvement initiatives
• Engage in research and educational activities within the department
• Collaborate with patients, families, medical staff, and referring doctors to ensure continuity of care

• DHA‑licensed Specialist in Ophthalmology, with subspecialty expertise in anterior segment surgery
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, and writing);
  Arabic is an advantage
• Minimum 5+ years of specialist‑level experience post‑qualification, including significant anterior segment surgical experience
• Skilled in all aspects of anterior segment Ophthalmology, with a patient‑first mindset
• Confident in building a patient base or bringing an existing following
• Team‑oriented, adaptable, and committed to clinical excellence
• Certification in Basic and Advanced Life Support
• Publications in peer‑reviewed journals are highly regarded

• MBBS or MBChB or equivalent from an accredited institution
• Completion of specialty qualification recognized by DHA, HAAD, or MOH UAE
• Excellent communication and computer literacy skills
