Specialist Pathologist - Accredited Medical Laboratory

As a Specialist Pathologist, you will be responsible for examining a range of biological specimens to diagnose diseases and inform treatment plans. Your expertise will directly impact the quality of care provided to patients as you work alongside a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.

• Conduct thorough examinations of histopathological specimens and cytological samples.
• Interpret laboratory results, detailing findings and diagnostic conclusions in comprehensive pathology reports.
• Collaborate with medical staff to discuss diagnoses, treatment plans, and next steps for patient management.
• Participate in case discussions, presentations, and multidisciplinary team meetings as needed.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and contribute to the laboratory's quality control and assurance programs.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with advancements in pathology.

• MD or DO degree with a specialization in Pathology and a valid medical license.
• Completion of an accredited residency program in pathology.
• Board certification in Pathology is preferred.
• Substantial experience in diagnostic pathology within an accredited medical laboratory setting.
• In-depth knowledge of laboratory techniques, diagnostic criteria, and pathology protocols.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail in reporting findings.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams.
• Ability to work independently and manage a diverse caseload efficiently.
