Position: Consultant Ophthalmologist (Medical Retina & Cataract) Arabic Speaker

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled consultant ophthalmologist specializing in medical retina and cataract procedures. The ideal candidate must be fluent in Arabic and possess extensive experience in diagnosing and treating retinal diseases and cataract-related conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and treat retinal disorders, including diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and retinal detachment.
  • Perform cataract surgeries, including phacoemulsification and lens implantation.
  • Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and interpret diagnostic tests such as OCT, fluorescein angiography, and fundus photography.
  • Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing retinal and cataract procedures.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including optometrists and general ophthalmologists, to ensure holistic patient care.
  • Educate patients on eye health, disease prevention, and post-surgical care.
  • Stay updated on advancements in ophthalmology and integrate new techniques into practice.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with medical regulations.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
  • Postgraduate qualification in ophthalmology and fellowship in medical retina or cataract surgery.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a consultant ophthalmologist.
  • Valid medical license to practice in Dubai.
  • Fluency in Arabic (spoken and written) is required.
  • Expertise in advanced retinal imaging and surgical techniques.
Preferred Skills
  • Strong diagnostic and surgical skills in ophthalmology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and medical teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
