Consultant Pediatric Intensive Care; PICU

American Hospital Dubai is seeking a highly experienced Consultant in Pediatric Intensive Care (PICU) to join its multidisciplinary pediatric and critical care team.

The Consultant PICU Physician will provide advanced critical care management to neonates, infants, children, and adolescents with life‑threatening medical and surgical conditions, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety, clinical excellence, and family‑centered care.

• Provide comprehensive clinical care to critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU.
• Lead daily multidisciplinary rounds and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Manage complex pediatric emergencies, including respiratory failure, sepsis, cardiac conditions, trauma, and post‑operative care.
• Supervise and support junior physicians, residents, and allied healthcare professionals.
• Collaborate closely with pediatric subspecialties, including cardiology, neurology, surgery, and anesthesiology.
• Participate in hospital quality improvement initiatives, clinical governance, and patient safety programs.
• Support the development of evidence‑based PICU protocols aligned with international standards.
• Contribute to education, mentoring, and continuous medical education activities.

• Medical degree with completion of an accredited Pediatric Critical Care / PICU fellowship.
• Board certification (American Board, UK CCT, or Canadian Board).
• Minimum 5–7 years post‑consultant experience in Pediatric Intensive Care preferred.
• Eligibility for DHA Consultant license.
