Position: Consultant Ophthalmologist (Arabic Speaker) – Saudi Arabia

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Consultant Ophthalmologist (Arabic-speaking) to join a leading healthcare institution in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality ophthalmic care, perform advanced diagnostic and surgical procedures, and contribute to the continuous improvement of clinical services. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and diagnose a wide range of ocular conditions
  • Perform advanced ophthalmic procedures and surgeries, including cataract, glaucoma, corneal, and retinal interventions (based on subspecialty)
  • Manage acute and chronic eye diseases with evidence-based treatment plans
  • Interpret diagnostic imaging such as OCT, fundus photography, visual fields, and ultrasound
  • Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient care Collaborate with optometrists, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Educate patients on eye health, treatment options, and preventive care
  • Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with Saudi healthcare regulations
  • Participate in departmental meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and clinical audits
  • Contribute to training and mentoring junior doctors, residents, and allied health staff
  • Stay updated with advancements in ophthalmology and integrate new techniques into practice
Qualifications
  • Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from a recognized institution
  • Board certification in Ophthalmology
  • Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience
  • Proficiency in performing ophthalmic surgeries relevant to the candidate’s subspecialty
  • Strong communication skills with fluency in Arabic (required)
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural, fast-paced clinical environment
  • Must hold or be eligible for Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) licensing
