Search Plus HR is seeking a dedicated Junior Consultant Pediatric Surgeon to join a prestigious government facility. This role is ideal for a passionate and driven individual who aims to make a significant impact on the health and wellbeing of children in the community. In this position, you will have the opportunity to work under the supervision of seasoned pediatric surgeons in a supportive environment focused on delivering high-quality surgical care to patients.

The Junior Consultant Pediatric Surgeon will be involved in the assessment and treatment of pediatric patients with surgical needs, assisting in both elective and emergency procedures. You will collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, contributing to a comprehensive care plan that addresses the unique surgical needs of children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and manage pediatric patients requiring surgical intervention.
  • Assist in performing surgical procedures, ensuring adherence to best practices.
  • Work in tandem with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Provide postoperative care and follow-up to ensure optimal recovery.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families about surgical processes and care plans.
  • Participate in educational activities and training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the surgical department.
Qualifications:
  • M.D. or D.O. degree with a completed residency in general surgery.
  • Interest in pediatric surgery and commitment to serving in a government healthcare setting.
  • Valid medical license in the state of practice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in a pediatric context.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a diverse healthcare team.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and evidence-based practice.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, adaptable to changing environments.
