We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Optometrist to join our growing eye care team. As an Optometrist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye examinations to diagnose, treat, and manage diseases and disorders of the visual system. - Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and vision tests to assess patient eye health.
- Diagnose vision conditions including nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism.
- Prescribe corrective lenses, such as glasses or contact lenses, for patients.
- Detect and manage eye diseases such as glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration.
- Provide pre‑operative and post‑operative care for patients undergoing eye surgery.
- Advise patients on proper eye care and answer questions related to vision issues.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide integrated patient care.
- Maintain detailed patient records, including treatment plans and progress notes.
- Use specialized equipment to assess and diagnose various ocular conditions.
- Stay updated on advancements and best practices in optometry and vision health.
- Educate patients on lifestyle and dietary choices that promote eye health.
- Participate in community outreach and advocacy for vision health awareness.
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry school is required.
- State licensure to practice optometry, obtained prior to starting the role.
- Strong communication skills to effectively explain vision issues to patients.
- Detail‑oriented with the ability to accurately measure and fit corrective lenses.
- Proficiency with optometric instruments and equipment for diagnostic purposes.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care and eye health management.
- Commitment to continuing education and staying informed on optometry trends.
