Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiologist (Specialist or Consultant level) to join our multidisciplinary team. The role focuses on the prevention, diagnosis, and management of cardiovascular disease, particularly in patients with diabetes, obesity, and metabolic syndrome. The successful candidate will play a key role in integrating cardiovascular care within a tech‑enabled, preventive care model, leveraging remote monitoring, wearable data, and proactive interventions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clinical Cardiology Care
    Diagnose and manage a wide range of cardiovascular conditions, including:
    • Hypertension
    • Ischemic heart disease
    • Heart failure
    • Dyslipidemia
    • Arrhythmias (initial workup and management)
    Conduct comprehensive cardiovascular risk assessments. Interpret diagnostic investigations including ECG, echocardiography, stress testing, and ambulatory monitoring. Develop and implement individualized, evidence‑based treatment plans.
  • Cardiometabolic Integration
    Manage patients with cardiometabolic conditions, including:
    • Diabetes‑related cardiovascular complications
    • Obesity‑related cardiac risk
    • Metabolic syndrome
    Work closely with endocrinologists to optimize glycemic, lipid, and blood pressure control. Contribute to integrated care pathways targeting long‑term risk reduction.
  • Preventive Cardiology & Risk Reduction
    Lead preventive cardiology initiatives, including:
    • Cardiovascular risk stratification
    • Early detection programs
    • Lifestyle intervention strategies
    Provide guidance on weight management, exercise prescriptions, smoking cessation. Support long‑term patient engagement and behavior change.
  • Remote Monitoring & Digital Health
    Utilize remote monitoring platforms for proactive cardiovascular care. Monitor and interpret data from wearables, blood pressure monitoring devices, and cardiac monitoring tools. Provide timely clinical feedback, including blood pressure management, medication adjustments, and risk factor optimization. Collaborate with care teams to ensure continuous patient engagement.
  • Multidisciplinary Collaboration
    Work closely with endocrinologists, general practitioners, dietitians, lifestyle coaches, diabetes educators, and psychologists. Participate in case discussions and integrated care planning. Support coordinated management of complex, high‑risk patients.
  • Diagnostics & Procedures
    Perform and/or supervise non‑invasive cardiology procedures, including ECG and Holter interpretation, echocardiography (if credentialed), and stress testing (exercise or pharmacological). Ensure appropriate referrals for advanced imaging or interventional care when required.
  • Quality, Research & Innovation
    Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement, and outcome tracking. Contribute to research and innovation in cardiometabolic health. Support the development of new care models integrating cardiology and digital health.
  • Documentation & Compliance
    Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR systems. Ensure compliance with DHA regulations and clinical governance standards. Adhere to infection control and patient safety protocols.
Qualifications & Requirements

Required:

  • Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent)
  • Specialization in Cardiology (MD, MRCP, or equivalent)
  • Valid DHA License (or eligibility) as Specialist or Consultant Cardiologist
  • Minimum:
    Specialist – 3–5+ years post‑specialization;
    Consultant – 8+ years post‑specialization
  • Strong experience in managing cardiovascular disease

Preferred:

  • Experience in preventive cardiology and cardiometabolic care
  • Exposure to digital health tools, wearables, and remote monitoring
  • Experience in multidisciplinary or integrated care settings
  • Interest in lifestyle medicine and chronic disease prevention
