We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Consultant Pediatrician to provide comprehensive medical care for infants, children, and adolescents. The successful candidate will diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of pediatric conditions while promoting preventive healthcare, growth, and developmental well-being. The Consultant Pediatrician will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with international clinical standards and UAE healthcare regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions affecting newborns, infants, children, and adolescents.
  • Perform comprehensive physical examinations and developmental assessments.
  • Provide preventive healthcare, including routine health checks, growth monitoring, immunizations, and nutritional counseling.
  • Manage common pediatric illnesses such as respiratory infections, gastrointestinal disorders, allergic conditions, infectious diseases, and chronic medical conditions.
  • Assess, stabilize, and manage pediatric emergencies and critically ill children.
  • Monitor growth, developmental milestones, and behavioral health, referring to pediatric subspecialists when appropriate.
  • Counsel parents and caregivers regarding disease prevention, child development, nutrition, vaccination schedules, and healthy lifestyle practices.
  • Interpret laboratory investigations, imaging studies, and other diagnostic tests to establish accurate diagnoses.
  • Coordinate patient care with neonatologists, pediatric subspecialists, surgeons, emergency physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Admit, manage, and discharge pediatric patients while ensuring continuity of care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records and clinical documentation.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education (CME).
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection prevention protocols, patient safety standards, and UAE healthcare regulations.
Qualifications
  • Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent).
  • MD, DNB, Board Certification, Arab Board, MRCPCH, CCT, FRCPCH, or equivalent qualification in Pediatrics.
  • Eligibility for or a valid Consultant license with the relevant UAE health authority (DOH, DHA, or MOH).
  • Minimum 5 years of post-specialization experience at Consultant level (or as required by UAE licensing regulations).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications are preferred.
