We are seeking a highly experienced Super Specialist Orthopedic Surgeon – Knee Replacement & Joint Reconstruction to join our multidisciplinary orthopedic team. The successful candidate will provide expert diagnosis, surgical treatment, and postoperative management for patients with complex knee disorders, arthritis, sports injuries, deformities, and traumatic conditions. The Consultant will perform primary and revision knee replacement surgeries while delivering evidence-based, patient-centered care in accordance with international best practices and UAE healthcare regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and manage a broad range of orthopedic conditions affecting the knee and lower extremities.
  • Perform primary and revision total knee replacement (TKR), partial knee replacement (UKR), and complex joint reconstruction procedures.
  • Evaluate and manage degenerative joint diseases, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, traumatic injuries, ligament injuries, cartilage disorders, and deformities.
  • Perform advanced arthroscopic knee procedures, including ACL, PCL, meniscal, and cartilage repair surgeries where credentialed.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans using both surgical and non-surgical approaches.
  • Provide comprehensive preoperative assessment, patient counseling, surgical planning, and postoperative follow-up.
  • Manage orthopedic emergencies, fractures, and trauma cases involving the knee and lower limb.
  • Interpret diagnostic imaging, including X-rays, CT scans, MRI, and other relevant investigations.
  • Collaborate with anesthesiologists, physiotherapists, rehabilitation specialists, pain management physicians, radiologists, and nursing teams to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical governance activities, morbidity and mortality reviews, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Mentor junior orthopedic surgeons, fellows, residents, and medical staff where applicable.
  • Stay updated with the latest advances in joint replacement technology, robotic-assisted surgery, navigation systems, and minimally invasive orthopedic techniques.
  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies, infection prevention protocols, patient safety standards, and UAE healthcare regulations.
Qualifications
  • Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent).
  • Master's Degree/MS, MD, Board Certification, FRCS (Trauma & Orthopaedics), Arab Board, CCT, or equivalent qualification in Orthopedic Surgery.
  • Fellowship or advanced subspecialty training in Adult Joint Reconstruction, Knee Replacement, Arthroplasty, or Sports Knee Surgery from a recognized institution.
  • Eligibility for or a valid Consultant license with the relevant UAE health authority (DOH, DHA, or MOH).
  • Minimum 8–10 years of post-specialization experience with significant expertise in knee replacement and joint reconstruction surgery.
  • Demonstrated experience in high-volume primary and revision knee arthroplasty is highly desirable.
