Position: Consultant/ Specialist Medical Oncologist UAE/ Tax Free Income

A leading tertiary-care hospital in Dubai, United Arab Emirates is expanding its oncology services and is seeking a qualified Medical Oncologist to join its multidisciplinary cancer care team.

The position focuses on delivering comprehensive oncology care within a modern hospital environment equipped with advanced diagnostics, oncology infusion services, and integrated cancer treatment programs.

This role offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative oncology framework alongside surgical oncologists, radiation oncologists, pathologists, radiologists, and supportive care specialists to deliver evidence-based cancer treatment for a diverse international patient population.

    Required:

    Minimum 3+ years post specialist or board certification
  • Practice Model:
    Outpatient oncology clinics, inpatient consultations, and systemic therapy management

The successful candidate will be responsible for the diagnosis, treatment planning, and long-term management of patients with cancer, utilising modern systemic therapies and multidisciplinary treatment approaches to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications & Board Recognition

Applications are welcome from physicians holding recognised oncology specialist qualifications such as:

  • American Board of Internal Medicine – Medical Oncology
  • UK CCT / MRCP / FRCP with Medical Oncology training
  • European Board Certification in Medical Oncology
  • Royal College Certification (Canada)
  • Australian Fellowship (FRACP – Medical Oncology)
  • Arab Board in Medical Oncology
  • DM / DNB /DrNB/ MD/FNB/ FCPS Medical Oncology or equivalent recognised specialist qualification

Candidates must meet eligibility requirements for DOH / DHA / MOH licensing.

Licensing guidance and support will be provided where applicable.

Key Responsibilities – Medical Oncology
  • Diagnose and manage patients with various malignancies, including solid tumors and selected hematologic cancers
  • Develop and implement individualised treatment plans using chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy and hormonal therapy
  • Administer and monitor systemic cancer treatments, ensuring safe and effective delivery of chemotherapy protocols
  • Assess treatment response and adjust oncology management strategies based on patient progress and current clinical guidelines
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary oncology teams to coordinate comprehensive cancer treatment plans
  • Participate in tumor board meetings and multidisciplinary case discussions to optimise patient outcomes
  • Manage treatment-related toxicities and complications associated with systemic cancer therapies
  • Provide counselling and education to patients and families regarding cancer diagnosis, treatment options, prognosis, and supportive care
  • Coordinate referrals for surgical oncology, radiation therapy, palliative care, and other specialised services when required
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and electronic medical records in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
  • Participate in clinical audits, research activities, and quality improvement initiatives within the oncology department
  • Ensure adherence to international oncology guidelines and UAE healthcare regulations
