Learning Support Assistant - Special Educational

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team at GEMS Founders School
- Dubai. The successful candidate will work closely with special needs children, providing one-on-one support or group to enhance their learning experience and overall development.

• Individualized Support
  • Provide direct one-on-one support to students with special educational needs (SEN) in various learning environments.
  • Implement individualized education and behavior plans under the guidance of the SEN Coordinator or relevant professionals.
• Academic Assistance
  • Assist students in understanding and completing academic tasks, adapting materials to suit their learning styles and abilities.
  • Collaborate with teachers to reinforce learning objectives and modify teaching strategies as needed.
• Emotional and Behavioral Support
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive environment for students with SEN, promoting emotional well-being and positive behavior.
  • Implement strategies to address and manage challenging behaviors, ensuring a safe and conducive learning atmosphere.
• Communication and Collaboration
  • Maintain open communication with teaching staff, the Inclusion teacher, and other professionals involved in the student's support network.
  • Maintain daily communication with parents effectively.
• Progress Monitoring
  • Keep detailed records of student progress, achievements, and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Inclusion teachers to assess and report on the effectiveness of intervention strategies.
