Position Overview:

This is an exciting opportunity for a Dean of Students who is dedicated to nurturing student growth, inspiring achievement, and contributing to the success and wellbeing of every student at DAA.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and support student wellbeing, behaviour, and engagement across the school, in line with the school’s values and policies.
  • Develop and implement effective pastoral strategies that promote positive behaviour, inclusion, and a strong sense of community.
  • Work closely with Heads of Year, Counsellors, and teaching staff to ensure consistent and supportive student care and behaviour management.
  • Ensure continuity and consistency in pastoral systems, including attendance, safeguarding, and student support processes.
  • Monitor and support students with diverse social, emotional, and behavioural needs, coordinating interventions where required.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive school culture that encourages respect, responsibility, and student voice.
  • Act as a key point of contact for parents regarding student wellbeing, behaviour, and pastoral matters, maintaining clear and proactive communication.
