The Academic Success Centre is inviting internal applications for the role of English and NCUK Coordinator
. This key position supports the coordination, delivery, and quality assurance of Language Studies and NCUK academic offerings. The role ensures smooth operations across timetabling, teaching allocation, assessment workflows, accreditation support, progression interventions, and student induction activities.
This position mirrors the Pathways Coordinator structure, ensuring cross-cover, continuity, and alignment across all ASC academic pathways. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong coordination skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to operate within fast-paced academic cycles.
Key Responsibilities 1. Language & NCUK Delivery CoordinationCoordinate the effective delivery of Language modules (LANG
30, LANG
40, IELTS Prep) and NCUK subjects.
Manage timetabling, teaching allocation, data inputs, and contingency planning.
Maintain zero unplanned class cancellations through proactive readiness and mitigation.
2. Student Recruitment-to-Induction JourneyMap and publish the student journey from recruitment to induction for Language and NCUK cohorts.
Maintain onboarding packs, welcome communications, placement testing guidance, and pre-arrival instructions.
Provide Tier 2 guided support for students showing emerging risk signals.
Organise referrals, study plans, follow-ups, and language/skills clinics.
Act as Tier 3 liaison for critical cases—documenting action plans and ensuring compliance.
4. Assessment and QA CoordinationCoordinate assessment collection, exam workflows, and committee documentation.
Support internal/NCUK committee preparations and ensure timely, accurate grade submissions.
5. Study Planner and Catalogue ManagementMaintain subject folders, catalogues, and study planners with version control.
Ensure alignment with UOWD and NCUK academic requirements.
6. Orientation, Onboarding & WorkshopsDeliver orientation briefings and publish student-facing materials (slides, FAQs, calendars).
Coordinate bookings for advising, testing, clinics, and ASC services.
7. Stakeholder Communication & AlignmentCommunicate proactively with Registry, Schools, Admissions, NCUK, and UOW.
Ensure all stakeholders have timely updates, risk alerts, timelines, and procedure notes.
8. Data Management & ReportingMaintain re-sit trackers, progression datasets, and Tier 2/3 logs.
Prepare dashboards and briefing reports for ASC leadership and partner stakeholders.
Support ASC projects related to onboarding, QA enhancement, and student progression.
Ensure compliance with institutional policies, accreditation standards, and NCUK requirements.
Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Qualifications & ExperiencePost-secondary certificate in a relevant field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in higher education academic coordination or student support.
Experience with international foundation or Language programs is preferred.
Strong understanding of academic QA processes, accreditation standards (CAA/CHEDS), and NCUK frameworks.
Proficiency in timetabling, stakeholder coordination, data management, and academic document control.
Competent in Excel, PowerPoint, and student-facing communication.
