Teacher of Geography
We are seeking to appoint an outstanding Teacher of Geography to join our team in September 2026. This role offers potential for middle leadership positions such as curriculum, Head of Year, ECA Coordination, or Head of Careers. GEMS FirstPoint School, founded in 2014, is a Premium British Curriculum school located in the heart of The Villa community, Dubai. With around 2,000 students from Nursery (age

- Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and adapt teaching to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Plan, prepare, and assess effectively, maintaining accurate records of student progress.
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes innovation, curiosity, and a love of learning.
- Use technology effectively to enhance teaching and learning.
- Contribute to co‑curricular and extra‑curricular programmes, supporting whole‑school initiatives and events.
- Uphold GEMS policies, procedures, and core values at all times.
- Communicate regularly with parents, colleagues, and external stakeholders to support student development.
- Engage in continuous professional development and performance management.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Geography or equivalent.
- Teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
- Strong classroom practice with proven ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Commitment to inclusive education and personalised learning.
- Willingness to contribute to wider school life and a professional learning culture.
