- To always ensure safety of the students as per the Safety procedures. To keep the concerned authorities and parents informed in case of emergencies.
- To maintain confidentiality of information about the students and their families
- To source and prepare materials for each AI training session and use appropriate technology resources with reference to the students’ IEPs and to develop their digital literacy skills
- To support in the effective implementation of delivery of ethical and responsible AI services by conducting activities and providing AI training and instruction, demonstration and support in the implementation of AI goals for assigned students in classroom, across routines, group sessions and individual sessions. To support in the implementation of students’ IEPs in AI by identifying, employing and integrating appropriate AI tools, apps, educational technology tools, smart technologies, inclusive, mainstream and accessible AI technology tools, and using accessibility features and technology supports.
To support in the implementation of adaptations, modifications and assistive technologies to improve access to learning for students according to their specific needs. To support the AI team in the preparation of students for the digital world embracing AI, helping them build digital and tech skills they can use in education, vocation, employment, and in independent living. - To assist the AI team in planning and implementing the AI program.
- To update students’ records in an accurate, complete and timely manner, and to assist the AI team in preparing PLOPs and reports.
- To support in AI dept projects held in the Centre.
- To attend and actively participate during the internal training sessions held in the Centre.
- To prepare and manage students’ schedules of AI sessions and adhere to the timings and to maintain a record of students’ attendance for AI sessions.
- To seek opportunities to stay updated with AI developments, follow new technology trends and upgrade professional and technical skills.
- To support in the implementation of the methodologies/approaches/techniques in alignment with the Al Noor CSDP and Curriculum
- To maintain inventory of the assets in the AI dept
- To coordinate with facilities department for all maintenance of the assets in the AI dept.
- To attend and contribute in the intra department and inter unit meetings. To implement actions discussed in the meetings.
- To adhere to all administrative and professional policies of the Centre.
- To fully utilise potential of volunteers and students on work experience programmes to enhance the AI training of the students in the Centre.
- To volunteer in various activities including fundraising for the Centre as and when required
Education:
Master’s/bachelor’s degree in special education from a recognized university on a full-time basis.
Experience:Minimum 1 to 3 years’ experience. Experience in UAE preferred
Licenses / Certification:Diploma or Certifications in any one of more specializations highly desirable:
- AI
- UDL
- Assistive Technology
- STEM education
