The College of Business Administration at the American University in the Emirates invites Ph.D. holders for Full‑Time Faculty (Assistant Professor) positions for the Fall Semester .

Teaching Load: 12 credit hours per academic semester

• Provide professional expertise in teaching, assessing student work, and academic advising.
• Participate in administrative and committee activities, professional service, and community service.
• Instructional Delivery: present research‑driven teaching and adapt to latest pedagogical techniques.
• Assessment and Evaluation: evaluate students’ performance, provide clear assessment criteria, and set expectations to avoid cognitive bias.
• Curriculum Development and Review: contribute to regular curriculum review and improvement for quality and effectiveness.
• Research and Scholarship: actively engage in scholarly activities and publish peer‑reviewed articles in the area of specialization.
• Professional Development: acquire latest academic techniques, technology development, and leadership skills through workshops and seminars.
• Academic Advising and Academic Success: provide advising, career planning, and guidance on program learning outcomes.
• Service: participate in task forces or work groups for accreditation, recruitment, research administration, and community service.

• Ph.D. in Accounting and Finance from an accredited U.S. university or a recognized university accredited by an American accreditation body.
• Ph.D. completed by the time of recruitment from an internationally accredited university.
• 18 credit hours of graduate studies in the required field.
• Minimum of three (3) articles indexed in Scopus‑listed journals or five (5) peer‑reviewed journals in the past five years.
• Equivalency from the Ministry of Education in UAE.
• WES equivalency if the degree was not issued from the United States.

• Minimum 2 years of teaching/working experience in an internationally accredited university.
• Minimum 3 publications in the last 5 years.
• Proven record of excellence at baccalaureate and graduate program level teaching.

• Curricular development and review.
• Record of professional accomplishment including peer‑reviewed publications.
• Continued research program and interest in collaboration with other faculty.
• Ability to integrate web‑based and digital technology in the classroom.
• Willingness to provide service to the University and the College.
• Excellent English proficiency and communication skills for faculty teaching in English.
• Excellent Arabic proficiency and communication skills for faculty teaching in Arabic.
