OverviewAldar Education is currently seeking an outstanding Islamic Studies Teacher for Abdulla Bin Otaiba School in Abu Dhabi with an immediate start (Feb / Mar 2026). Abdulla Bin Otaiba Charter School is an American Curriculum mixed‑gender primary school located in the heart of Abu Dhabi, Mohamed Bin Zayed City. - Plan engaging lessons that meet curriculum requirements.

- Work flexibly with fellow teachers and coordinate with specialists such as speech‑language therapists, occupational therapists and educational psychologists when required.
- Maintain a positive, engaging learning environment through classroom provision and displays.
- Plan, prepare and deliver sessions that cater to the whole ability range.
- Use enthusiastic, imaginative teaching to motivate pupils.
- Observe and assess children in line with school assessments.
- Reflect on classroom provision, sessions taught and learning progress to adjust planning and curriculum.
- Take responsibility for class progress and record development using Target Tracker.
- Use assessment data to inform further planning and intervention.
- Provide feedback to parents/carers at parent‑teacher conferences and other meetings.
- Follow the school’s behaviour policy, manage classes effectively and model positive attitudes and values.
- Promote self‑control, independence and high expectations of behaviour.
- Support curriculum action groups and contribute to planning, assessment, resources and special events.
- Assist in organising and participating in school events, outings and activities, including weekends and evenings.
- Minimum:
Bachelor’s Degree in Islamic Education. - UAE Nationals only.
- Related subject with PGCE or other teacher qualifications.
- Minimum 1–2 years teaching experience in Arabic & Islamic Studies.
- Experience working with students whose first language is not English.
- Passion for teaching and commitment to educating the whole child.
- High professionalism and consideration of student well‑being.
- Recent and consistent involvement in extra‑curricular activities.
- Respect for all members of the school community, regardless of position, gender, age and ethnic background.
- Positive, solution‑focused attitude to work.
- Clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check or police check.
- Must reside in the same Emirate as the school.
