Overview

We are delighted to announce a new GEMS primary school opening in Dubai for the academic year beginning August 2026. The school will offer a high-quality British curriculum at an affordable price point for students aged 3 to 11.

Significant emphasis will be placed on:

We now seek to appoint an exceptional leader to drive educational, operational, and commercial excellence creating an environment where students can thrive academically, emotionally, and socially to ensure world-class outcomes.

• Educational expertise and a proven track record of developing and sustaining a high standard learning environment.
• Experience in leading strategic processes in a school to achieve targets.
• Excellent communication skills and strategies that will motivate and inspire all stakeholders.
• The ability to provide direction, set expectations and inspire staff through communicating goals clearly and empowering collaboration.
• Successful and demonstrable experience of parental engagement and evidence of creating community partnerships that enhance learning.
• A cultural understanding and ethos to lead both staff and students to continually strive for excellence.
• A commitment to wellbeing and inclusion across the entire school community.

• Have experience working within a start-up environment with a successful track record of student achievement and attainment in a National Curriculum for England School.
• Be an effective and dynamic leader with exceptional communication and presentation skills with a proven track record of driving school development in previous positions.
• Have extensive experience of leading a school through inspection, having significant impact during the process.
• Be able to demonstrate genuine passion towards the wider co-curricular life of a school.
• Have a keen focus on parental engagement, student partnerships and community development.
