Director of Sports

Repton Al Barsha is currently recruiting a Director of Sports to join the team for an August 2026 start.

Repton Al Barsha is a thriving British curriculum school in Dubai with a strong sporting tradition and a commitment to holistic education. As we continue to expand and strengthen our co-curricular and competitive sporting programme, we are seeking to appoint an exceptional Director of Sport to lead the next phase of our sporting development across the Junior and Senior School.

The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership for all aspects of sport, fostering participation, performance excellence and a strong Repton sporting identity.

As we enter the next phase of our sporting development (including the expansion of facilities) we are seeking an exceptional Director of Sport to lead, inspire and elevate sport across the whole school alongside our current sports leadership team.

The Director of Sport provides strategic and operational leadership for all aspects of sport and physical education across the Junior and Senior School.

• Developing and delivering a whole-school Sports Strategy
• Leading competitive fixtures and inter-school participation (including DASSA and regional competitions)
• Driving high participation across all ability levels
• Elevating performance pathways
• Strengthening the Repton House sporting culture
• Ensuring excellence in safeguarding, health and safety and compliance

• Qualified teacher with degree-level education.
• Significant experience leading sport in a high-performing school.
• Proven record of developing competitive programmes.
• Strong knowledge of British curriculum and international sport contexts.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.

• Experience in the Middle East or international context.
• Experience leading through-school sport (FS–Sixth Form).
• Experience developing performance pathways.
• Experience in school growth or strategic development phases.

• Hold Bachelors of Education or PGCE with appropriate specialism, OR
• Hold Bachelors in subject relevant to teaching specialism plus PGCE in Secondary Education
• Have experience teaching in a UK setting or renowned British Curriculum / international school
• Have appropriate experience which enables them to contribute to our school enrichment program
