Job Description

We are currently seeking to employ an experienced Teacher of History for Jumeirah College, Dubai. This appointment is for September 2026 start.

Jumeirah College is a GEMS Premium Secondary School that delivers the National Curriculum for England, offering the full range of GCSE and A level courses. Our student body is a dynamic international community of over 1,600 students from more than 62 nationalities. We take pride in the development of the whole child, recognising the importance of cultural and global awareness. The college has been repeatedly judged Outstanding in inspections and, despite being non‑selective, our students achieve exceptional exam results.

• Bachelor’s degree in History or a related subject and PGCE / PGDE or equivalent, with exceptional subject knowledge.
• At least three years’ experience teaching the National Curriculum for England.
• Experience teaching History at Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5.
• A proven track record of outstanding learning and teaching.
• A mindset that believes all students have the potential for top performance, and a passion to enable them to achieve it.
• Experience that will contribute to our enriched curriculum programme.
• A commitment to the school's inclusive ethos and to supporting a diverse student community.
