Position: Maths Lead Practitioner, ASTON EDUCATION

Job: Maths Lead Practitioner

Employer: British International School, Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Start date: 17th August 2026

Annual Tax-Free Salary: £34,500 - £40,000 + Benefits including housing, flight allowance, medical and gratuity (worth over £15,000)

Contract: Full-time, fixed term for 2 years

Job Responsibilities

As a Maths Lead Practitioner, you'll work across KS3, KS4 and KS5 and provide high quality coaching and subject‑specific CPD to Maths teachers to achieve sustained improvements in teaching and learning. You'll implement and monitor strategies to raise the achievement of targeted Maths students and act as a 'champion' for SEND students. You'll teach Maths across KS3, KS4 and KS5 and prepare the students for IGCSE and A level exams.

Skills and Qualifications required
  • PGCE and QTS / QTLS
  • Degree in Maths or related field
  • Successful UK teaching experience in Maths at secondary school level
  • Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for Maths
  • Proven track record of improving teaching and learning
  • Commitment to excellence, inclusivity, and community
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
