Faculty Member - Occupational Therapy Program

Batterjee Medical College is seeking a qualified and motivated Faculty Member to join the Occupational Therapy Program
. The role focuses on delivering high-quality academic and clinical education, supporting student development, and contributing to research and academic excellence in alignment with accreditation and institutional standards.

Key Responsibilities Teaching & Clinical Education
  • Deliver lectures, tutorials, laboratory sessions, and clinical training within the Occupational Therapy Program
  • Supervise students during clinical placements and practical training activities
  • Facilitate case-based learning, simulation activities, and hands‑on clinical skills sessions
  • Teach evidence‑based occupational therapy practices across various clinical settings
  • Utilize LMS (Blackboard) and digital teaching tools effectively
  • Prepare and administer assessments, assignments, practical exams, and clinical evaluations
  • Maintain accurate academic and clinical records
Student Support & Development
  • Provide academic advising and mentorship to students
  • Support development of clinical reasoning, patient‑centered care, communication, and critical‑thinking skills
  • Monitor student performance and provide constructive feedback
Research & Scholarly Activities
  • Participate in research, academic conferences, and scholarly activities
  • Contribute to curriculum development and continuous program improvement
Academic Quality & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with academic policies and accreditation standards (e.g., NCAAA)
  • Participate in quality assurance activities, committees, and program reporting
  • Submit course files and required academic documentation on time
Community Engagement
  • Participate in community outreach, rehabilitation awareness campaigns, and healthcare initiatives aligned with the college mission
Requirements
  • PhD in Occupational Therapy or related field
  • Valid professional license/registration (where applicable)
  • Clinical experience in occupational therapy practice required
  • Teaching experience in higher education preferred
  • Familiarity with simulation‑based teaching and educational technologies
  • Experience with LMS (Blackboard) and digital learning platforms
